Kendra Sorrel Kelly
Illusionist
Age: 25
Origin: Caribbean-born; raised between coasts, culture, and shadowed legacy
Affiliation: Sacred Ordinance
Companion: The Lythian, Nova
Specialty: Illusion magic, Echo artifact retrieval
Biography:
Kendra Kelly is the youngest of the Archivists of the Sacred Ordinance tasked with recovering Echo-tainted relics and stabilizing fractured realms. Rescued at age 13 from a failed sacrificial ritual meant to awaken an ancient entity known as Thessaval—the Hollowing Tide, Kendra was taken in by the Curator of Pergamon and raised within the Library of Worlds.
Marked by Ash Scars—vein-like silver traces left from surviving contact with an Echo entity—Kendra has spent over a decade mastering illusion craft, arcane containment, and narrative resistance. Her power doesn’t come from brute force, but from intuition, emotional acuity, and a rare ability to walk between worlds without forgetting who she is.
Notable Traits:
Ashwrought Survivor: Thessaval attempted to claim her as a living gate. Kendra’s scars remain as both warning and ward.
Veilwalker-in-the-Making: Sensitive to fractures between realities, with instincts that surpass formal training.
Bound to Nova: Her lythian companion is both protector and mirror—evolving as Kendra does, formed from resonance, emotion, and loyalty.
Kendra is the central figure of Shadows of the Lost, a dark fantasy series in which she infiltrates lost places, forgotten ruins, and unraveling echo-scapes in search of artifacts too dangerous to leave untouched. But her mission is more than containment. As Echoes stir and lost gods begin to remember, Kendra must discover what it means to hold power—and whether she is meant to wield it… or rewrite it entirely.
